Senate Bill 1 Concerns and Reporting
Effective June 27, 2025, Senate Bill 1 allows students, faculty and student groups to file complaints that may be based on the following:
- Complaints by students, student groups or faculty members regarding alleged violations of University Policy 3342 5-23, university policy regarding campus free speech*.
- Complaints by students, student groups or faculty members regarding alleged violations of diversity, equity and inclusion prohibitions under Ohio Revised Code Section 3345.0217 and University Policy 3342-5-24*.
- Complaints that a university administrator, faculty member, staff or student has allegedly interfered with the intellectual diversity rights prescribed under Ohio Revised Code Section 3345.0217 and University Policy 3342-5-24; and
- Complaints by students, student groups or faculty members regarding alleged violations of any position, policy, program or activity prohibited under .
*In accordance with Ohio law, staff are not eligible to submit a complaint under this law/policy. - Relevant Policy - University Policy regarding campus free speech
