Whether your passion is to design new space systems to help the world communicate better or aid in a mission to Mars; to help fuel the future through improved design of alternative energy systems such as fuel cells; to operate and manage swarms of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs); to create and operate new robotic manufacturing systems—or to design, build, and operate the engineered systems that will help us in our homes and businesses; become a pilot here in the U.S. or across the globe to help solve the world's pilot shortage, the College of Aeronautics and Engineering at Kent State University will help get you there.

  • The College of Aeronautics and Engineering at Kent State University hosted the 2025 National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA) SAFECON Region III competition Oct. 19–24 at the Kent State University Airport in Stow, Ohio. The weeklong event brought together collegiate aviators from across the region for flight and ground competition focused on precision, safety and professionalism.

  • It was a childhood fascination with aviation that led alumna Linell Homentosky to choose Kent State University when it came time to pick the ideal college program for her. As she tells it, the interest was first sparked by her aunt, Judy, who was a flight attendant.
