Spring 2026 Housing Application is OPEN!
Students who want to live on campus for the spring semester can apply for housing . Spring housing assignments will be sent out the Week of January 5, 2026.
Winter Break Housing Request
Students needing to stay on campus over winter break (December 13, 2025 to January 11, 2026) may request Winter Break Housing . The Winter Break Housing request is on the Housing Portal, under 鈥淗ousing Forms鈥.
Spring Roommate Request
Are you new to campus for the spring and want to live with someone who is currently living on campus? Students who are new for Spring 2026 can submit a request to live with a student currently living on campus . The Spring 2026 Roommate Request is on the Housing portal under 鈥淗ousing Forms鈥.
Apply for Housing - Are you under 18?
Students under 18 at the time of applying for housing must have a parent or guardian complete the Parent/Guardian Approval process before they can submit a housing application.
Incoming students may want to complete this process before the housing application is open - no problem! Incoming students can complete the Parent/Guardian Approval when they are fully admitted to Kent State.

University Housing Expands Sustainability Efforts with Ohio EPA Grant
University Housing is proud to announce a major step forward in its commitment to sustainability. In 2025, Tom Dietrich, Assistant Director of Residential Facilities, secured a $10,000 grant from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency to support the installation of additional bottle filling stations across residence halls.
The Special Role Students Play in Keeping Campus Safe
