Room Selection opens in waves based on the date students submit their housing application. We encourage students to apply early to maximize their options.
Selection times are assigned through a randomized process. As part of the selection, students will receive a random, computer-generated timeslot. Each timeslot indicates when a student can begin selecting a room.
Room Selection times will be sent to students' Kent State email accounts on May 6, 2025.

Students who submit their housing application on or before March 24 will be entered into a raffle for one of three $500 scholarships.
Certain students participating in specialized programs (e.g., those working with an academic advisor, coach, or counselor) will have room assignments coordinated between their program and University Housing. These assignments will be made on a rolling basis through fall opening. Students with questions about their room assignment can contact their specific program for assistance.
