The Kent State University alumni family grew by nearly 1,200 new graduates as the university held its summer commencement ceremonies. The accomplishments of the Summer Class of 2023 were recognized with outdoor commencement ceremonies on Aug. 19.

Once again, Kent State University has been named one of the Best Employers for Women in a nationwide ranking by Forbes and marketing research firm Statista. Kent State has been named to the list for the sixth consecutive year, having been included each year since Forbes began publishing the Best Employers for Women list in 2018.

U.S. News & World Report ranks 11 Kent State University programs among the best in the nation in its recently released 2023-2024 Best Graduate Schools rankings.

On May 18-19, the university community will celebrate Kent State University’s 113th birthday with its annual Day of Giving. 

The Kent State University alumni family will grow by about 5,500 new graduates as the university holds its spring commencement ceremonies. 

Kent State University is proving that it is the place to be for fall 2023 with a record-breaking number of applications, a record-breaking number of students who have been accepted for admission into the university and a record-breaking number of students who have made deposits to confirm their attendance in the fall. 

Advancing the legacy of May 4, 1970, a tragic day when the Ohio National Guard fired on Kent State University students during an anti-war protest on campus, killing four students, wounding nine students and forever changing the lives of countless others, the university will hold its annual commemoration on May 3-4.

“Always Ready, Always There” is the motto of the National Guard. In many ways, this describes Kent State University’s Center for Adult and Veteran Services, too. For the 14th consecutive year, Kent State has been designated a Military FriendlyⓇ School.

U.S. News & World Report has named five Kent State programs as U.S. News Best Online Programs for 2023.
