Gallery Tour of Fashion Timeline with Curator Sara Hume

Kent State University Museum curator, Sara Hume, Ph.D. will lead a tour of the exhibition "Fashion Timeline." The exhibition has just been expanded to include a final gallery which showcases fashion from the 1960s to the early 21st century. Dr. Hume will discuss how fashion over the past two and a half centuries has reflected changes in politics, culture and technology.

Twenty-two women from across Ohio will competed in this year鈥檚 Miss Ohio Scholarship Program June 15 at the Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield. NASA Student Launch Competition

  Seven students from the Kent State High-Power Rocket Team traveled to Huntsville, Alabama to participate in their first NASA Student Launch Competition. Students came from around the country with the goal to design, build and fly a rocket and payload that would deploy upon landing. The name of the team鈥檚 rocket was 鈥淔lash鈥hh Ahh!鈥 In reference to the classic Queen song and the Kent State Golden Flashes. This was Kent State鈥檚 first entry into the year-long NASA high-power rocket competition, which consisted of seven events and report submissions. The team placed 23 out of 45 teams. ...
