Kent State's Student Accessibility Services is celebrating October as Disability Awareness Month, with events and activities to spread the word to students that they are not alone in their struggle and that help is available.
October is Kent State University鈥檚 Mental Health Awareness Month. Though the national health observance is in May, the university chooses October to promote mental health awareness as the need for mental health support on campus peaks during this time.

Vitalant will be holding a blood drive on the Kent Campus on Wednesday, Sept. 20 and Thursday, Sept. 21.
The second Annual Mental Health Awareness Month at Kent State University will have a unique campaign this fall.

Nationally, Sept. 15 marks the start of Hispanic Heritage Month. This year, Kent State is celebrating the 2023 Hispanic Heritage Month as Avanzando Juntos: Moving Forward Together with numerous events and celebrations.
